Maybe a nice idea...

Just hosted one (as a black room) with a lot of success on Hood...

HISTORICAL BATTLE !!!

Axis vs Allies !!!

no neuts,
MN = Allies,
RN = Allies,
US = Allies,
IJN = Axis,
KM = Axis.

it worked out fantastic... I was surprised about the balance... and the outcome (Axis won, close victory...)


What about...
Historical Game Mode !!!
basics are simple...
room simply splits the allies from the axis...
neuts not able to join... no limits on numbers of certain ships...

It might also be a nice thing to host as an Event !!

but than again, there ain't many france BB yet and most people play KM so balance could be good.

I have serious doubts that this can work good. If there is 10 Allies BB5 joining and 4 Axis, how the split will work?
Maybe the Black Room works better...

Like this idea, but think that in black rooms it can be done as a special game type from time to time, too.

Just a little historical addition:
The role of french navy isn't really clear as allied, but fell in the hands of allied at the end of 1942.
Both, germans and englisch feared that the rests of french navy could support the enemy after france was captured. Royal Navy even did a massive air raid against BB Richelieu.
(if interested, look at wikipedia for Richelieu)

Perhaps MN ships can be used to be splitted on both sides for better balancing when you do it manual.

This would be great fun. There should be more specific ones as well, like maybe one where the battle of the Denmark Strait is recreated and the challenge is for the KM players to get the Bismarck to a certain area to escape whilst the RN have to intercept it before then.

For balance issues, maybe a good idea to have a TNF member present.

There'd be fantastic battles to be fought (Guadalcanal comes to mind...).

I like this idea "historical battle" but i think that they should make it like "op convoy" just for fun no xp then balance wont be such an issue.

yes and no...
OpConvoy is indeed a great fungame... but its pretty much dead... since there is no XP to gain...

XP variance in respect to balance variance would be nice... but that would only be an issue if eFusion indeed decides to add this as a true game mode...

untill that time... its blackrooms for teh win ^^

only balance thing should be worked out

Like: not able to start room if balance is 10% out , with 100% = ideal balance
(I have no idea about how the system that is called navyfield works. So I dont know if this is even possible)

Well, as I said i think it's better done in a normal black room.
That there are some ships that have no real counterpart on the other side is quite a normal thing in "real world navys".
On your points:
- don't think a some TWs would make a big difference (therefore allies are 3, axis 2 nations at the moment).
- AA for MN seems also to be good (at least longest range). US AA isn't that bad either.
- Subs: allied have several 6 tube SS3
- allies have heavy hitting US and good armored UK on one side. Only Papership BBs on other side.
- fighters seems to be best+worst (axis) against 2 from the middle.

So just as a fun mode it could be nice from time to time.

played 1 of these yesterday and they are closer than you'd imagine, you find that the axis tend to get the most BB's + kitas but it was close and to my mind MN should be random, you have to remember the vitchie or what ever they were called

Efusion could implement a room say with only x number of bb5 for allies and x number of bb5 for axis, etc.. They would of course only be practical when server is busy, but thats cool. I enjoyed the rooms godsp33d hosted. It restoresd a bit of realism lost when us is fighting uk etc. And they were actually pretty close.
